“Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.”
—Khalil Gibran, Lebanese-American writer and poet (1883-1931)
“Feet, what do I need you for when I have wings to fly?”
—Frida Kahlo, Mexican artist (1907-1954)
Random Pictures versus Projects
Random photography is fun, but I think it’s even more rewarding to envision some sort of series or project and then create a dozen or so images that fit within this vision.
Here, for example, is what can be done at home, with your iPhone, in a few minutes. Just find some good light, play around a bit, and use your imagination.
Obviously, if you want professional grade images for printing, you would need to get more specific about the lighting and use a camera with much better resolution–this particular session was quite impromptu.
Other examples of this idea of a series/project can be found under my Portfolios tab. Scroll down on that page and check out what can be done with decaying asphalt in a parking lot, with the tiles in your bathroom, with contrails, with ice, with the buildings of New York City, et cetera.
The only limit is your demented, crazy, happy, funny, weird, unique mind.
Locomotion: Feet and Legs…
Keeping in mind that, in the big scheme of things in this Universe, we are all merely temporarily able-bodied… “TABs”, if you will. The human condition.
