A List To Possibly Make Your Life More Pleasant and Rewarding
(Not in any particular order.)
–Wear sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat when in prolonged sunlight.
–Have a hobby or activity that you are passionate about.
–Read.
–Learn another language (even just a few hundred words or phrases!) and/or a musical instrument (yes, your own voice can count for the latter).
–If you can move it, keep moving it. Otherwise it will rust in place. (Referring to your body and its parts.)
–As you leave, always look back and scan the area where you were just sitting for forgotten or dropped items. (bench, taxi, picnic spot, friend’s car, airline seat or overhead bin….). What have you forgotten?
–When leaving your abode, come up with a “count” (e.g., wallet, glasses, keys = 3 count) so as to remember everything.
–A towel is a handy thing to have–in your pack, in the car, while traveling (especially throughout the galaxy).
–Whenever you are about to close a door (car, house, storage, whatever), check that you have the appropriate keys with you.
–Make “To Do” lists to keep yourself organized. Some things you will never have to do if they stay on the list long enough!
–Be nice to people. It’s the Golden Rule, it’s karma, it’s “what goes around comes around”–that is, it’s just the right thing to do.
–Have age appropriate talks about emotions, sex, and relationships with your kids and grand kids–and start when they are young, age 5 isn’t too early.
–When in a public or unfamiliar restroom, always check for toilet paper before you pull your pants/skirt down to sit.
–Don’t hold your cell phone above a toilet or other body of water or any type of abyss.
–Take care of your teeth–after the baby ones go, the adult teeth are the only ones you’re going to get.
–Spend time surrounded by Nature…. and pitch in to preserve it.
–Leave any place you go cleaner and better than you found it. (Imagine if we all did this–from individuals, businesses, and corporations, to entire countries!)
Any other suggestions?
