Dana Bove has just created and launched a new website that is slightly different than your average photography internet destination: “Photography for a Change: Images of Beauty, A Show of Support” (2022 NOTE: website no longer active).
Here is the wonderful idea…Every two months four different photographers and their work–mostly nature and landscape–are featured in online art gallery form. The art is of very high quality and is definitely a feast for the eyeballs. Then, he takes things an interesting step farther. You can buy prints from these artists with all profits going to benefit two local Boulder non-profits, one which helps people and one which helps the environment (Boulder Bridge House and Western Resource Advocates).
It’s a nice marriage. Some really good photographers get to display their work, you can buy prints at reasonable prices, and society benefits.
The four photographers in this current two-month exhibit are Dan Baumbach, Dana Bove himself, Bryce Bradford, and Lee Sie.
