    My father helped design the uranium mill and mine, & we were 1 of the first families to move into new housing. I was 15, and my first job was at Curly’s Cafe. There was a mercantile and gas station. And of course a bar. We moved to Denver that September but I always thought the name should have never been changed. Sad to hear it grew bigger with lots of amenities to fall into a ghost town. 😢
