I am still reworking images from 2010 and 2011.
Here is yet another example…above is the reworked version, below is how I had originally post-processed it.
Backstory: This guy, a bit under the influence of a mind-altering liquid, was tagging along with a happy wedding party that was celebrating near an outdoor café in downtown Sitges. I happened to catch him in a more introspective pose than was typical of him at the moment. In the reworking of the image, I especially wanted to remove the distraction of the person walking behind. I also tried to improve the sharpness, lighting and tonality of the photograph. I really liked the obvious signs in his face and hands of a long, hard life as well as, perhaps, a very difficult past 24 hours.
