“Si Montserrat elsnúvols han tapat, aigua pel Llobregat.“ (Roughly: If Montserrat is covered with clouds, the Llobregat River will flow.)
–So saith the locals…
The Rains of March
There have been clouds, rain, and fog, and the Llobregat is indeed feeling fatter these days. Catalunya’s drought isn’t over by any means, but life-giving liquid is once again flowing through her veins and filling her cisterns. Sometimes not as much as we would like–and sometimes way too much all at once.
Regardless, the opportunities for landscape photography abound, especially at my favorite photo haunt: La Muntanya de Montserrat.
Here are a few recent monochrome images from two turbulent and foggy days, the 14th and the 15th of March (beware the Ides of March).
