Sugarloaf, yet again

You have to keep coming back until you get the conditions you want. Just because you have been to a place with your camera once absolutely does NOT mean you have sucked it dry of all possibilities!

This morning, for example, wasn’t bad at all…after how many much less successful trips up this mountain? Dozens?

Pre-sunrise, a temperature inversion had Boulder at about 7 degrees while it was in the low 30s above 8,500′. Weird. But it created a wonderful cloud deck (or fog deck, if you will) that was perfect for a few wonderful images (like the color photograph above).
