I’m not really a football fan, but yesterday’s playoff game had me snared..the constant tie scores…the overtime…the incredible cold making the players look like bison in a Yellowstone winter…then a puny kicker (albeit from the “wrong” team) winning the thing in the end. Yep, all those telephoto lenses were certainly aimed at the goalposts on that last play.

Ok, so I cheated–had to go way back to one of my old images from 2009. Those huge telephotos were actually aimed at Lionel Messi as he dribbled yet again toward the goal at Camp Nou in Barcelona. It was the only image I could find in my files of a green sports field.
